Lilly Love

Lilly Pulitzer is one of the most classic brands around. It has one of the best bridal lines I have seen in a while. The great bright fun colors make for a wedding where everyone can't help but smile. This is a theme I would use for my own wedding :) But Lilly is my favorite!

Royal Like Wedding

Instead of writing a blog on how beautiful the royal wedding was and how to make your own wedding like  The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's was I will just leave you this link to a blog about all the crazy souvenirs you can get. It was written by my guest blogger Ms. Morgan and I feel its a great way to smile. Maybe in a few weeks I will create a little royal wedding idea of my own. But for now take a look at this:

Blame It On The Alcohol

Well unless your religion keeps you from drinking (which I totally understand and applaud you for it!), it is a nice gesture to your guest to have a bar. Now I know what you are thinking then I will just have a cash bar, I said please do not and I will give you a few options.

For the lovely lady who says no drinking at my wedding
http://www.roadtrafficsigns.com/No-Drinking-Sign/No-Drinking-No-Alcohol-Sign/Related-Products-K-5324.aspx

I do suggest coming up with a signature drink that will be glamorous and everyone will remember. Please take this into great consideration, finding a non-alcoholic drink that matches your theme or colors is a perfect way to impress your guests!

For the fearless women who says well I want a bar but cant quiet afford a full open bar I give you this option:

Decide on a signature drink just one drink that can be made all night long for your guests, this will drastically cut down the price that you will have to pay to have liquid courage at your wedding. :)

Last but definitely not least for the women who wants it all:

You go for it girl, have that open bar and do not think twice about it!

Hopefully this gives everyone options that are a nice gesture for your guest and save you some money.

Cowboy Take Me Away

Last week I downloaded the old Dixie Chicks CD's that inspired me to do a Cowboy themed wedding! This is one of my favorites, i have seen a few of these weddings myself and they are always fun and different.

intimateweddings.com
If you are planning a YEEHAWWW kind of wedding Cowboy boots are a must have. They look great with most short dresses...key word MOST make sure if you want your wedding party in boots they can try them on with the dresses so you know that it matches and works well as a whole.
ourweddingflowers.com
Wildflowers are completely perfect for a cowboy wedding, with many color choices you can really broaden a color theme you are trying to go with.
Looking for the perfect place to have your wedding well a place like Farm and Ranch Museum is a great option for both a wedding and or the reception with a beautiful view of the mountains you can't go wrong. Any place outside with great surroundings is a great place for you and your cowboy to get hitched.

Let Them Eat Cake: Special Guest Blogger and Queen of the Free World, Miss Morgan

It's your wedding day. The one day you can wear a ridiculously poofy white dress and be a complete and total control-freak diva- and all the while, everyone will just follow you around and tell you how pretty you are.

Am I dreaming?

So, what is more fitting for your day as the queen, than a Marie Antionette-themed wedding? I say- let them eat cake! And give you lots of Target gift cards!

In honor of our beloved (albeit, headless) queen, Marie, I've put together this wedding theme board with images scoured from le Google.

A Royal Color Scheme

Wedding planning is exhausting...you deserve some cake.

le macaroons...le yum.

Every queen bride needs fabulous shoes.

A reception fit for a queen.

Your loyal subjects will pining for an invitation to your very own Royal Wedding!

You should probably do your hair like this on your wedding day.
Hey, it's all part of the theme- and bigger is always better.

Pretty little cakes for a pretty little bride.

Check out the Sofia Coppola film, Marie Antionette,
for more wedding theme inspiration from the original diva!

Simple decor can add extravagant flare to your  humble glamorous affair. 'Humble' was not in Marie Antionette's vocabulary, so it shouldn't be in yours either, babe.

Cheers!

Miss Morgan is not actually a queen, but she does write a funny blog. You had better read it because she has been known to randomly yell, "Off with her head!" despite the fact that she has no "official" crown. Check her out at Comedy or Tragedy

Vintage/Love Letters

Last night my friend asked me to bring my wedding magazines to work, when I did she found something that inspired her and me for a wedding idea. See her boyfriend is on a mission and she misses him everyday, they write letters to each other to keep up with what is going on with each other. So I thought letters have to be involved in their wedding. Ciara was just as excited as I was and sent me a few pictures of the colors and things she wants at her wedding.

Flowers:
The blush colors are perfect for a vintage feel, my great grandmother had a blush pink kitchen seriously pink tile, appliances and decorations. So that just proves how the blush pink gives you a vintage touch. Adding light blue, purple, even white can just enhance the vintage feel. So don't feel like pink is the only option for vintage looks.
Beautiful center pieces! Love how regal they make the table look, goes right along with the vintage theme.
This is a different twist on vintage, its modern but still has the feel of vintage. Plus its your something blue :)

Since the couple that inspired me on this has been writing letters to each other, I though well instead of a guest book or a frame signed by everyone how about postcards with black and white photos of romantic places or couples on them that each party can sign and write well wishes to the bride and groom. You could pin them with laundry clips, put them on a pin board, or have them leave the postcards in a group for you to later turn into a book.

Ciara's grandmother has a very old chest of drawers that she wants to incorporate into her wedding. This is the perfect thing for a vintage wedding, using things from your family that have meaning just make your wedding a little bit more personal. I like the idea of putting wedding photos from past couples in your family on the dresser. She is going to add both her mothers wedding dress and her boy's mothers dress to each side of the dresser, great way to make families feel like an important part of your wedding!

This awesome background would be great behind the cake, you and your man could write on the chalkboards or you could let your guests. Just a neat little vintage touch.

Will be adding more to this theme as I go, just had to get some of the idea out today, I was about to burst! Love Ya'll
